The delay of Google’s major UX update from May to August has left many avid searchers with a sense of impatience. Fortunately, Google has provided a few minor updates to keep the search community occupied.
Among the small updates is the launch of a new Page Experience Report in Search Console. This report is not to be confused with the Page Experience update, scheduled for launch in August. The Page Experience Report combines the core web vitals report with a few metrics from the upcoming update – all of which are now viewable together through Search Console. In other words, Google has consolidated a ton of viewable metrics in one easy place.
Some of these metrics include HTTPS, mobile-friendly status, and safe browsing status. You can view an example of what the report looks like here.
There are evidently no new actions available from this report. Instead, its purpose seems to be to make managing these metrics easier.
According to Google, “the Page Experience report offers valuable metrics, such as the percentage of URLs with good page experience and search impressions over time, enabling you to quickly evaluate performance. You can also dig into the components of page experience signal to gain additional insights on opportunities for improvement.”
Additionally, Google added a new filter, allowing you to see pages that perform exceptionally well on SERPs and compare them to similar pages.
